Download Busta Rhymes Latest Album For Free on Google Play

Over the weekend, I read brief review of Busta Rhymes latest album "Year of The Dragon", where the reviewer mentioned that the album felt like Busta Rhymes album in the 90's.

I thought about that comment today when I clicked on a Google ad to download Busta's album for free on Google Play.

After a few preview listens, the reviewer was absolutely right as Busta Rhymes is close to his mid 90's form on "Dragon".

While none of the songs hits you up side of the head like "Woo-Ha" or " Gimme Some More," and speed-wise, Busta's rhyming skills are a tad slower than his Leader of New School youth, he still crafted his freshest, most complete album since his manic rhyming days of the  Clinton era.

Like most rap albums today, Busta has a few collabos, but if you are an old school Hip Hop fan, don't be put off by the appearances of Trey Songs, Rick Ross or Lil Wayne.

Busta hasn't flow to the "Blazing Hip Hop and R&B" crowd, the album itself is all Busta Rhymes , while the guests are simply there to assist.

In fact, Busta's collabo with Gucci Mane ("Make It Look Easy") is probably one of the most captivating tracks on "Dragon", (along with "I'm Talking To You", "Grind Slow", "Love-Hate with Robin Thicke and Bleed The Same Blood with Maino & Anthony Hamilton).

Will the "106 and Park" generation embrace Busta Rhymes "Dragon" like a new Drake album?

Probably not, but here's hoping that "Year of The Dragon" can start a new trend where the young-in's can have a new Lil Wayne album and a new Busta Rhymes on their same MP3 player.

(* Editors Note:  There only downside of the free album is that you have to add your debit/credit to Google Wallet to download the album. If you don't want to add your information, you can still listen to preview tracks from the album, but you can't download the album).
