Happy Cinco De Mayo! Phoenix Suns Wears Los Suns Jersey To Protest Arizona Immagration Law

Taking a poitical stand where other organizations  may care more about season ticket owners than social justice, the NBA's Phoenix Suns decided to wear the Los Suns jerseys Wednesday night in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals against the San Antonio Spurs, (the Spurs wanted to wear Los Spurs also, but the logistically it could not happen).

The Suns are wearing the special jerseys to to honor the Latino community of Arizona who are protesting the Gov. Jan Brewer's  immigration law (SB 1070), which would make the failure to carry immigration documents a crime and give the police broad power to detain anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.

Suns owner Robert Sarver came up with Los Suns jersey idea, which was quickly praised by Suns Canadian point gaurd Steve Nash:

" I think the law is very misguided. I think it's, unfortunately, to the detriment of our society and our civil liberties. I think it's very important for us to stand up for things we believe in. As a team and as an organization, we have a lot of love and support for all of our fans. The league is very multicultural. We have players from all over the world, and our Latino community here is very strong and important to us."

What do you think of Arizona's immigration law and/or the Suns wearing thier Los Suns jerserys?

Kobe Bryant's Fashion Photos: Forward Thinking or What Were You Thinking?

For full disclosure, I am a longtime Cleveland Cavaliers fan as well as Lebron James. But up until this past year, the best player in the league had to be the Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers.

With four rings and dominant floor game, Bryant is one of the NBA all time greats.

However, as good as he is on the court, maybe Kobe needs a little help from Tim Gunn  or Stacey London & Clinton Kelly from What Not to Wear because his all-white attire for  Los Angeles Magazine has garnered snickers online to Inside the NBA on TNT.

But I'll let you judge, what do you think of Kobe Bean Bryant's photo spread?
