The Young and the Restless Tribute Show to Jeanne Cooper/Miss Chancellor (Full Episode)

While A clip show of Jeanne Cooper's work  as Katherine Chancellor on Young And The Restless would have been a fitting tribute, Y&R when above and beyond the traditional retrospective by having cast members talk about their experiences with the award winning soap veteran who died from COPD.

Starting off with a touching by her children, led by her son Corbin Berson , followed by tales from her cast-mates (including Eric BraedenBilly MillerJoshua MorrowKristoff St. John,  Melody Thomas Scott, and  Jess Walton),  the Y&R special for  Jean Cooper was more than a trip down memory, it was fitting tribute to a true dame who loved her family, off stage and on as well as her fans.

The only drawback from the special is that you wanted to hear more stories about this grand actress, but there just wasn't enough time ( Since the Bell family created "Y&R and "The Bold and Beautiful,"  I'm sure BB wouldn't have minded being pre-empted for Jeanne Cooper).

Another fitting tribute to Jeanne Cooper would be if CBS chief Les Mooves would  re-air the special  Y&R episode one night later this week, ( since sweeps is over, the only thing that eye network is showing reruns of 2 Broke Girls.)

Although The Young and The Restless is a daytime show, it is  still part of the CBS family, a family Jeanne Cooper  dedicated almost 40 years of her life to creating art as well as a revenue stream that Moonves and past CBS presidents has enjoyed since the 1970s.

Showing the Jeanne Cooper tribute at night would not only reaffirm that daytime TV is just important to CBS as night time TV, but it would also give a nod to Hollywood's golden past; a past that seems to dim faster each year as yet another legend from that era passes away.

Miguel Jumps and Leg Drops Two Women at the Billboard Music Awards (Gif)

@corkgaines/Twitter

I have to give Miguel credit, he did do something different to make you remember his song Adore.

The idea of jumping across the pit was a bold move, but knocking out two women  in the process was probably not one of them, ((Miguel did appear one  one of the young ladie ( Khyati)  who said she is doing fine after Miguel's Hulk Hogan leg slam.)

In any event, at least Miguel sang live and sang well, can't say the same for some other artists (hello Selena Gomez, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber).

Suspended "Twerking" High School Students Get Sexual Harassment Charges On School Records

Scripps Ranch, California (CNN)

A group of high school students in California were suspended for two days for doing a sexually suggestive dance called "twerking" in a video. And at first, they were told they would not be allowed to attend their own prom and graduation. That punishment has been dropped. But, as Sharon Chen reports, the kids now have a bigger problem on their hands.

Did these girls deserved to be suspeded or have been slapped with sexual harassment charges over this?

TV Anchor Fired for Saying F**K (When Keeping Real Goes Wrong)

Anchor AJ Clemente’s first day was his last as he went from the guy mistakenly saying “F—ing sh-t" and getting  suspended  Sunday to being fired from North Dakota’s NBC affiliate KFYR on Monday.

Look, its too bad that AJ lost his anchor gig and he will probably get another, but  that's what news directors get for hiring on ait talent based on looks instead of journalistic credibility.

Walter Cronkite didn't look like a male model and he wouldn't have NEVER done this on live TV.

Miguel Rock's Out "Adorn" and "How Many Drinks" on SNL

Judging by the rock-ish tone of both his Saturday Night Live performances, it seems like Miguel's second album will lean a bit more towards rock.  This move might alientate some if his R&B fans, but you can be a true student of Prince and just dude R&B, right?

Kobe Bryant Vows To Fight Bear and Come Back From Achilles Rupture on Facebook

Since the Los Angeles Lakers vs Golden State Warriors game wasn't on TV last night, I was following the game on Twitter. Each time someone tweeted Kobe's injured!

Another tweet would say Kobe scored! Then in one instant, tweets said Kobe was down.

I quickly turned onto NBTV and watched a limping Kobe Bryant hit two free throws, then limped to the locker room.

The speculation was that he tore his achilles.

After the Lakers win, you can see the pain and hurt in his eyes as a near tearful Black Mamba talked to the media and his season ending injury, which could end up being a career ender as well (thanks for picking Mike D'antoni over Phil Jackson, Jimmy Buss. Maybe the heavy minutes didn't contribute to his injury, Jackson would have at least put Bryant in a better position to win, if this was to be his last season).

Today took Kobe Bryant to his Facebook page to rant about being hurt.

After first Bryant came across as being bitter and  depressed by the injury:

"This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I've done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the hell did this happen ?!?...Maybe Father Time has defeated me."

But by the end of the post vowed to fight to the finish:

"...One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day. If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear". Ive always loved that quote. Thats "mamba mentality" we don't quit, we don't cower, we don't run. We endure and conquer."

Although, Kobe Bryant was late to social media athlete game, he's probably the best at it by opening himself up in a way that most players would never; with each Tweet, Twitpic, and Facebook post, you get the all sides of Kobe Bryant: Funny, driven ball player, doting father.

Kobe "Bean" Bryant  with one click, consistently show that athletes are human just like everyone, yet has still been able to keep a shroud of mystery of what makes him great as a player.

While his injury will push to to depths he never experience during his 17 seasons in the NBA, it will be fascinating to watch his drive back to the hard wood on social media, one tweet at a time.

Get well Mama!

Rick Pitino Ducks for Cover After Fireworks Go Off in Louisville NCAA Championship Win (GIF)

When he was coaching at Providence, my parents use to say that by the he looked at dressed, Rick Pitino looked like Michael Corleone from the Godfather movies. Judging by the way he ducked after fireworks went off at the end men's basketball finale, the Lousiville coach was clearly channeling Al Pacino in Godfather III!

Sad! Norman Reedus Talks About The Heartbreaking Fight Between Daryl and Merle Dixon

(Via Entertainment Weekly)

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Tell me your reaction when you first read the episode or heard what was going down?
NORMAN REEDUS: I was bummed to see Rooker go. He’s such a strong character and such a good actor. He brought so much to the show so I was bummed to see him leave. I would have liked to have explored that relationship a bit more. And he’s always fun to play scenes with so I was bummed about that. I’m bummed every time someone leaves the show, to be honest.

EW: You just keep stabbing him in the head over and over at the end. Daryl seems to releasing all this anger at that moment. Is that pent-up anger at his brother? Is it anger at his death? Or maybe a bit of both?
REEDUS: It’s more like anger at this world right now. Rage is one of those things that is fear based.  That sort of rage comes from being afraid. Daryl is the type of guy that’s always had his back up against the wall. He’s always had to fight. It’s just at the world and this is my life, and these are the cards I was dealt and it’s just frustration and anger at everything. It’s not just Merle. I’m not like, ” I hate you Merle!”  It’s more like “Life sucks! And I hate it! I hate it! I hate it!” It’s more like that.

Daft Punk Teases New Music During 'SNL'

The best 30 seconds of Saturday Night Live with Kevin Hart as host might have been the two 15 second commercials for Daft Punk.

There I was sitting on my couch, when the sound reminiscent of the Disco band Chic radiated through my rabbit ear TV speakers, (word is Chic's Nile Rodgers worked on their album)

Although my trusted Shazam app called the song "15 Seconds", there were nothing about an album or dates, just a funky rhythm, two split helmets and the words Daft Punk bringing a smile to my face as I rewound
those commercials about 20 times last night!

What's your favorite Daft Punk song?

Hammer Time! Psy & M.C. Hammer Goes "2 Legit 2 Style" For AMA Ending!

For a brief few seconds as Psy's "Gangam Style" went dark, I saw a bald headed guy with a bandanna appear behind the Korean superstar.

"Psy brought 2Pac back from the grave," I yelled .

However, it was MC Hammer who delighted the crowd with his "2 Legit Quit" / "Gangnam Style"mash-up and dance with Psy.

In recent years, Hammer's  resurgence is not unlike that of the love hate love track that the Bee Gees went through from the 70's to the 90's:

From influential dancing and music icon in the early 90's to bankrupt punchline during he late 90's to a respectable music, dancing and now technology vet today

The return of Stanley Burrell  was a great ending to a so-so American Music Awards, where Justin Beiber won Artist of Year; a year in which One Direction,Katy Perry, Rihanna, David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Jay-Z & Kanye West clearly had more impact than the Beibs in 2012
