In its second day of release, New Moon became the biggest single day earner, taking in over 72 million. The record was previously held by The Dark Knight, which earned $67.1 million.
As great as these numbers are, I don't know if the "New Moon" will make as much as the "Dark Knight" long term, but these numbers are still grrat.
