Christina Aguilera's New Song 'Your Body' Tanks Now What?

According to Billboard Magazine, Christina Aguilera's latest song "'Your Body' peaked at number 34 on the pop chart and has fell to number 64.

Ouch?

What happened to Ms. Aguilera????

Sure she's a bit thicker than she use to be, but shouldn't be a reason for her slowed music success.

Christina still has that one thing that Rihanna,Taylor Swift and other pop divas of today lack.

A GREAT voice.

Not a good one or a bad one fixed with auto-tunes, but a a GREAT one.

Its a kind of voice that helped Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige and Kelly Clarkson keep their careers going, when they hit their musical bumps.

Its a kind voice that Celine Dion used to score a long standing gig in Las Vegas when she no longer topped the charts.

Its a kind of voice that Christina still has, but at times discards to make songs that are vocally beneath her.

Interestingly as Christina continues to flail,  her former TRL co-hort Pink has scored yet another hit with her song "Blow Me."

Does Pink has the same vocal range as Christina?

No, but Pink's vocals are still passionate, she chooses songs that her fans can connects to and  most importantly, she stayed true to who she is:  The tough chick with a heart of gold.

Pink didn't change to change her sound to compete with Lady Gaga or anybody else, she's still Pink.

The same goes for Christiana's vocally challenged  Mickey Mouse Club buddy Britney Spears who also has continued to make hits.

Sure she went bit loco a few years ago and still looks jittery like a church mouse when you see her on X Factor but issues aside,  Britney still chooses the right songs and remains the dance diva she was when she first started, (Anybody seen that southern belle from back then, I miss her).

But all is not lost.

Christina is still a judge on"The Voice" (unless Shakira makes people forget about her when she fills in for her during the live shows) and although "Your Body" is failure isn't a success, it doesn't mean that her new album "Lotus" will fail.

On her last lackluster album "Bionic", "You Lost Me" was a great song, but for some reason it didn't get the airplay it deserved. So you would think that "Lotus" has at least one killer "You Are Beautiful" type track on it.

However, if "Lotus" does tank, Christina Aguilera  needs to get "Dirrty" again, put her classic album "Stripped" on loop and remember the singer she used to be before she puts out another album trying to be someone else.
