Flashback! Justin Timberlake Performs "Pusher Love Girl" on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

This week, late night with Jimmy Fallon is re-airing the whole Timber-week extravaganza, which happened in March.

The return look at the 20/20 Experience launch was not only a good week of shows but, it also helps as a primer to Timberlake releasing the 20/20 Experience Part 2 in September.

However, everytime I see his "Pusher Lover Girl performance" as well as Let The Groove in, "it reminds me what a mistake it was not releasing those tracks after "Suit & Tie".

Both of those songs would have been solid, if not major hits, but by keeping the album that hot, it would have also pushed back the launch of 20/20 Part 2.

Sure, the original "20/20 Experience" was not the full blown comeback that people wanted from J.T (remember, he was early 20's when "Justified" and "Futuresex"), but it wasn't lacking in good songs.

But by going with "Mirrors" and "Tunnel Vision", Timberlake and his label made a choice to burn some tracks before the next album out.

Unfortunately for Jessica Biel's husband and Jay Z's current touring partner, Robin Thicke who has been in Timberlake's shadow for years, hooked up with his Star Trak label boss Pharrell and created the biggest song of his career with "Blurred Lines." (The gradual building of Thicke's recent success is also direct contrast to the overblown promotion that came with "20/20 Experience" in March).

This is not to say you can't have two blue eyed soul singers at the same time, but the law of music averages says that Timberlake's punt of 20/20 Experience part one is Robin Thicke's "Blurred" musical and maybe  award winning gain.
