Although Miguel and his leg drop were nowhere in sight, J. Cole more than made up for the missing crooner as he performed his "Power Trip" with The Roots.
After going into the studio and self producing his latest album "Born Sinner" , J. Cole seems to be finally fulfilling the promise of being hit-maker after signing with Jay-Z's Roc Nation (even though Hov hasn't been the guiding force in Cole's music career, which has been stalled since his debut album "Cole World: The Sideline Story" in 2011).
