Ryan Seacrest Says the Nicki Minaj/Mariah Fight was "Intense"

During his radio broadcast on Wednesday,  spoke about the spat between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey during the Tuesday auditions in Charlotte, North Carolina

"It got heated between Nicki and Mariah," admitted Seacrest, who was outside the auditorium during the dust-up. "It was intense! I'll be honest with you . .. It went far last night. It did get intense."

I'm sure fellow judges Randy Jackson and Keith Urban said, no crap man!

All jokes aside, producer Nigel Lythgoe is either a genius or  driving a stake through American Idols rapidly slowing heart. He had to know that putting two divas at different stages of their career in Minaj and Carey would be bring fireworks.

Although five octave singing, multi-platinum selling Carey is way more successful than the two, Minaj doesn't seem like the type to bow down to Mrs. Cannon who probably does not have  a  lot of patience for  a relative newbie who artfully uses witty rhymes, auto tunes, multi-colored wigs and multiple personalities to build a successful career.

If these two survive the auditions and make it to January, viewership will probably go through the roof.

However, where does that leave the contestants?

Question: Would you watch American Idol next year for the judges or the contestants?
